What YOU Can Do for PandoraLive

Just a short post today after the long discussion about the browsers from yesterday. I hope you enjoyed that, by the way. I just added as “Support Us” page in the top menu of the PandoraLive page, and let me explain exactly where this is coming from and what we would like to ask all of you.

First, this is not a call for you to empty your pockets and your wallets and give us cash. There are some reasons why it could help, but honestly there are far more important things you can do at this stage.

In the Pandora world there is always a great emphasis on this entity called the Community. While this is all good and well, I would like to remind everyone that the Community is not a kind of magical element that will solve all problems and make the world a better place. The Community starts with the active involvement of every of its members.

There is no such thing as a passive Community.

This Support Us page is a call for action. Being a regular reader of Pandoralive is already a great thing, but think about what you can do further. For example…

  • Sharing the articles you like around you in your social networks.
  • Posting comments on articles, and explain why you liked/hated them.
  • Let people around you know that there’s a source for Pandora-related news and that it’s here.

That would be the second level of involvement. Beyond that, you can be a more active participant, write guest posts, provide proof reading, become part of the team if you are so inclined, and so on.

There are many things one can do to make a difference. Even if you only have 5 minutes a day. Even if you are Mr. Nobody.

Every little effort comes together in the end, and the Final Result is bigger than the sum of its parts.

So…thank you for being here, and thank you for your active participation. 🙂

It’d be better if we could have an indication on the front page if there was any discussion going on after an article already, via them medium of an (n comments) tag as I thought you’d agreed to a month or so back. Any developments on that front?
